Public procurement

Mecsek-Öko's public procurement specialists obtained their formal qualifications in public procurement consultancy in 2005. They are in charge of conducting public procurement procedures related to all the remediation works in the Mecsek and Mátra Hills.

Mecsek-Öko has used public procurement procedures in the process of closing down the uranium mine and its facilities since 1997. The tendering process related to the remediation of the mines in the Mátra Hills started in 2003 and is still going on. The former project has involved conducting 170 public procurement procedures, of which seven exceeded the community threshold. The latter has involved managing about 40 public procurement procedures, of which five exceeded the community threshold.
